Small and large labels up to 7.1" wide can be accommodated with its built-in bar codes and alpha-numeric fonts and 203, 305 or 600 dpi print resolution. Various onboard I/O signals are pre-wired to an external connector; optional features may be added in the field with minimum investment. Label Size Range for Sato is 1.0" wide x 1/4" long minimum to 6.5" wide x 10" long maximum, for Zebra is 5/8" wide x 1/2" long minimum to 7.1" wide x 10" long maximum, for Datamax is 1.0" wide x 1/4" long minimum to 6.64" wide by 10" long maximum. Print Resolution and Speed are 203 dpi, 305 dpi, 600 dpi with print speeds programmable up to 16"/sec, dpi dependent. Print capabilities include fonts of various sizes and styles with independent height and width expansion; includes OCR A/B. The Graphics feature supports user defined fonts and graphics including custom logos. Labeling speed is dependant upon label size, print speed, cylinder stroke and application type. This corner wrap panel labeler uses a Sato, Zebra or Datamax print engine integrated into the applicator to print variable data with barcodes, alpha-numerics and graphics, and can be mounted in almost any position- up, down, reels up or upright depending upon label size and orientation of the label on the product. Normal and fine detail printing is available with a choice of 203, 305, 400 and 609 dpi print resolutions, depending on manufacturer. Right hand and left hand versions are offered for either side of the conveyor handling labels up to 7.1" wide, up to 6.6" print width. All 3600a-PA units are equipped with multiple onboard I/O signals prewired to external connectors, and the print engines offer Serial, Parallel, Ethernet, USB or wireless data communication. The heavy duty, rack and pinion dual cylinder rotary actuator and custom designed swing arm length allows the unit to reach out to products which are not at the edge of the conveyor. The unit can be mounted in almost any position to apply labels to the leading, side or trailing panels of various products, and can be oriented reels up, nose up or down depending upon label size and position on the product. | For Print and Apply Labels | Upon start-up the labeler prints and fills the loose loop to the applicator assembly and positions a label at the peel edge and is at idle condition; filling the loose loop dancer places the printer into a "pause" condition. Upon product detection the applicator will dispense and apply a label to the product; with additional label applications the loose loop dancer roller will move to actuate a feed sensor to release the "pause" mode of the printer which then advances more labels to refill the loop until the "pause" mode. | |||||||||

The print engine is "off" and the label web is routed to bypass the printer to feed directly to the peel bar for application. All 360a units are stepper motor driven with State-of-the-art electronics and a "Self-teaching" label sensor. File encryption of the 360a allows for easy "on-site" software revisions and upgrades. The digital stepper / servo controller manages multiple tasks simultaneously plus variables with expanded I/O making this drive well-suited for the most demanding production applications. The 360a is also equipped with onboard I/O prewired to external connectors to accommodate the following: low label single, web break, triple lightstack, encoder velocity compensation, and others. Set-up is easy, repeatable and stable with the color touch screen HMI display for operator access to set-up parameters. Integrated into the applicator is a Sato, Zebra or Datamax thermal transfer print engine for variable data with bar codes, alpha-numerics and graphics.
